A Standard
What began as a daily experiment has turned to a place where my taste and aesthetics have entered. A standard has emerged.
Publishing is no longer good enough.
I’m surprised that it came this fast.
But looking back, it’s obvious how it happened.
And you can see the breakthrough here, when I wrote “I Didn’t Know What To Write Today.”
So, I’m left asking myself:
What is this place I’ve created? And how do I plan to keep showing up?
The quote from Mastery is a fitting one. And while I don’t think I’m a Master yet, I’m certainly closer than when I started this project 6 weeks ago.
Ha! 6 weeks!
My magic number.
More on this tomorrow.
A Quote from Mastery by Robert Greene
“But Masters inevitability posses another quality that complicates the work process: They are not easily satisfied by what they are doing. While able to feel excitement, they also feel doubt about the worthiness of their work. They have high internal standards. As they progress, they begin to detect flaws and difficulties in their original idea that they had not foreseen.”
Mastery, Robert Greene (p. 199)
